Found this kitten. We have been putting chloramphenicol drops in her eyes since 3 days (2+2+2+2), as prescribed by vet. It's not working and getting worse. Previously, another vet prescribed gentamycin drops for a week, which also didn't work. She has surgery on Thursday, but I need to know what to use to bring the swelling down and the infection down as well. The vets here just care about money. Please help as I can tell she is in pain. On the plus side, she eats and drinks properly.

Place an e-collar (cone) on her to prevent pawing or rubbing. Since her condition has possibly changed, she should be recheck by your veterinarian or a veterinary ophthalmologist. Based on the results of an exam, the treatment may change.
