My kitten's eye is shut and looks infected. What should I do?

This is likely conjunctivitis, which is commonly seen with upper respiratory infections. The clavamox will help to keep this from getting too bad, but sometimes prescription eye ointment is needed. Wiping away the discharge with a warm cloth is good to do a few times a day. Considering the one eye is completely closed, it may be difficult for all the discharge to drain, so I recommend having it checked by the vet sometime in the next day or two. It is hard to say if it will improve with eye drops. the pupil appears dilated also may be a sign of vision loss if there was previous trauma to the eye. She seems very calm with it open and that is a good sign it does not hurt. The best thing to do is see a vet to see if that is a part of the vitreous that healed due to a previous puncture or old penetrating wound, or see if there is something stuck to the eye that needs removal
