I agree with your veterinarian. It’s one thing if a pet has a condition that does not affect the quality of life. The problem with hernias is that the internal organs can become twisted and cut off blood supply. That is very painful and will lead to death. This is something that needs to be fixed with surgery. Depending on the severity of the hernia, it may be an easy fix and not a risky surgery. Only the vet treating Flash can tell you if it's risky or not. I hope this helps!

I am very concerned about a few different problems with Malai. He likely has severe nerve damage to his spinal cord if he is not able to walk. The fluid in the abdomen could indicate internal bleeding, or a hernia. I am particularly concerned about a diaphragmatic hernia which would cause compression to the lungs and cause Malai to have trouble breathing. Malai is likely not eating, because he is in extreme discomfort. Given all of these conditions, he needs professional help and soon as possible. He needs good pain medication and possibly surgery to keep him from having life-threatening complications. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do for her at home right now. It sounds as Sofi is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.
