My 2-month-old kitten's bum is sensitive and bleeding after neuter. Normal?

It could be due to the anti-inflammatory/pain contro medications he was on or even stress from the procedure. Monitor him closely for now. If no improvement in the next day or so, have him evaluated by your veterinarian as anti-diarrhea medicationscan be startedat that time. Good luck!

I am sorry to hear that Boba Fett isn’t feeling well. The area in the picture looks like she has an injury to the skin. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by your veterinarian soon. Hi there and thank you for using pet coach to address your concern. It is not common to see blood in the urine in male cats after neutering. The blood yu are seeing may be from the incision site. It looks like Coco may have a small amount of rectal tissue prolapsed. This can occur if they have parasites, chronic diarrhea, foreign body or constipation. I recommend having her checked for intestinal parasites and possibly adding water to her food to help her pass stool more easily. If she is vomiting or showing any other signs of illness she should see a pet ASAP.

Poor little Chico! He could be suffering from intestinal worms, which are common in kittens and could cause the red and swollen bump. I would have him seen by a vet for this, and bring along a sample of his feces as well. The vet can examine his feces under a microscope of signs of worms, and can treat him accordingly. The vet can also let you know if he is a boy or girl. I hope this helps!

If he was straining in any way it can rupture a blood vessel and cause some blood. It also can be a sign of an infection or him having trouble with the diet and he may need a new food. Since he is other wise healthy and acting normal, you can watch him for any vomiting or diarrhea. If the blood continued with diarrhea, then he needs to seen to see what is gong on.

This is not normal and could be a sign of urinary issues or trauma. If she has very recently been with the mother then neonatal isoerythrolysis would be another possibility but if you have had her more than a few days this would not be a possibility. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her to determine what might be going on.
