My new kitten has a bald spot with brown skin. Is it ringworm?

This is very suspicious of ringworm (a fungal infection of the skin). This could also be due to a yeast or bacteria infection, but it's much more likely to be ringworm. . It's best to get it diagnosed by a veterinarian, because ringworm can spread to different parts of the body and can spread to other animals and people. Also, the more involved the infection, the longer it will take to clear. Ace will need prescription antifungal medication in order to clear this and will also need medicated baths. For now, I recommend separating Ace from your other animals and washing your hands anytime you touch him. Your veterinarian will be able to get you some more info at the time of exam. If they agree they will likely put him on an oral medication and possibly a medicated shampoo. Please practice good hygiene with this kitten as ring worm is contagious to people and other animals. A lesion like that could be a bacterial infection or ringworm (which humans can get). Your best option is to have Mocha examined and tested for ringworm. Make sure to protect the area from rubbing and scratching and she should wear an elizabethan collar at all times. Persian kittens are very prone to ringworm, a fungal infection. I suggest you take Lily to your veterinarian for a skin exam. She is due for vaccinations anyway so show the skin lesion to your vet. Your vet will want to look at the lesion with a black light and/or do a brush test and try to grow the fungus as a diagnostic to determine if it is indeed a fungal infection. As long there is no definitive diagnosis, please make sure you wash your hands after petting your cat, as ringworm is contagious to people.

This does not look like a natural shedding and it does look suspicious for ringworm but a cut or abrasion can sometimes be this same circular shape. As you probably know, ringworm is contagious to humans as well.
