Is Fucidin cream safe for cat's infected spay wound if she licks it?

Hi, no she shouldn't be licking the wound nor the powder. The wound's healing can be delayed if she is licking it and it could get infected as well. The powder contains Zinc that can be toxic if ingested repeatedly. Are you able to put a buster collar or elizabethan collar on her at all ?

Keep an eye on it while it's healing, and if the area becomes red, swollen, warm to the touch, or has pus, then I would have Napa seen by a vet for antibiotics to treat it.

I'd also have him neutered. That will cut down on the fights with other cats. I hope this helps.

Poor Coco! The main thing is to make sure she isn't messing with it (i.e. chewing, scratching or licking). I would put a cone collar on her or a baby t-shirt to help prevent this. It will never heal if she doesn't stop messing with it. I would also consider some Benadryl to control the itching. See link below for dosing. Finally, I am personally not familiar with that cream and not sure if it is safe for cats so I would call your vet and double check. If it is okay, I think it would be fine to continue that to see if that helps with the infection. If not, I would have your vet take a look at Coco so they can get her started on the proper meds to help her feel better. I hope this helps!

It would be best to consider an E-collar to prevent all licking and to give the skin a chance to heal. I do recommend that if her skin isn't better in a few days that you have a Vet look at her.
