Why are my foster kittens still sick with diarrhea and vomiting?

It's possible. It could also be the kittens are a bit stressed out from going to a new home. If you changed their diet when you adopted them, that can also cause GI upset which can lead to vomiting and diarrhea. If possible, continuing to give them their original food (or slowly switching to new) and giving them a day or two to settle in may help. If the diarrhea or vomiting continue, or worsen, then seeking out a veterinary exam to make sure the giardia hasn't returned or there is another underlying cause is best.

Poor kitty. Vomiting and diarrhea in a such a young kitty can be caused by a bacterial or viral infection in most cases. If kitty gets into things it can also be causaed by a foreign body ingestion. I would highly recommend taking this fur ball to your local vet for a thorough check up and medications to stop the vomtiing and potentially antibiotics may be needed.. I would recommend starting off with a good dewormer. Also you can add a probiotic or fiber to their diet. If the diarrhea is not resolving I would recommend taking them to a vet for a fecal exam and good physical exam. Some parasites like coccidia need special medications to treat. Kittens commonly get gastrointestinal infections at this age and he may have picked it up from the place where he was adopted (incubation periods can be up to two weeks). The fact that he recently got dewormed is coincidental, but I wouldn't be concerned about this being related to the deworming medication. Considering he is lethargic and has vomiting/diarrhea, it's best to have him seen by a vet again. Kittens can quickly become dehydrated with this condition and will likely need some treatment to make him feel better again. For now, it's best to feed a bland diet of boiled chicken. A dewormer would be beneficial if the diarrhea is caused by worms, however if they also have eye discharge or third eyelids showing I would be concerned about other issues ongoing such as a respiratory infection or illness. The kittens, if they are about 2-3 months old, are also of the age where they should be getting their first set of vaccines, exams, etc. It would be best to bring them into your vet for a complete checkup, checking the stool to figure out the cause of the diarrhea, look at the eyes, and get started on a health and vaccination plan.
