Can different cat breeds like Persian and domestic cats mate?

I love that you want to open a cat cafe! Yes, these breeds will be fine together, but I would recommend introducing them slowly to each other. That will help them get along well with each other, and live in the same place comfortably. Good luck with your cafe!

I am sorry to hear about Ally Jaxx! That sounds like a frustrating situation. I would recommend following up with your veterinarian. We can often see skin problems such as this with allergies (dogs can have allergies to things in the environment or to food ingredients). The allergies cause a defect in the skin's protective capabilities and makes them susceptible to secondary bacterial infections which is why often the lesions resolve with antibiotics, but then reappear later on because the allergies are still present leaving the skin vulnerable. Your vet can examine Ally Jaxx and determine if another infection is present, if they suspect allergies and recommend an allergy medication or diet change to use long term, or recommend additional testing.

To be honest, I would not raise more cats that you can afford. Keep in mind that each cat will need vaccines, flea treatments, heartworm treatment, and deworming treatments on top spaying and neutering. Then there can also be medical emergencies with your cats, especially if they live outdoors. They can get into fights with other cats, be attacked by other animals, and could potentially get hit by a car. I would budget at least $1000-$1500 a year for each cat, probably more so you have extra in case of emergencies. Then I would make the decisions of how many cats you can get based on finances. That way, you won't have to worry about paying for vet care. You can mix any cat breed with Persians. I have a Persian, but I also have a Ragdoll, domestic long hair, and a domestic short hair. If you are going to keep them outdoors, I wouldn't get a Ragdoll. Because of their docile nature, they are best kept as indoor cats only. I hope this helps!

Bengals are not laid back cats, like Persians can be, and can be a handful, so that may not be the best choice. Any of the remaining three breeds you mentioned would be fine to raise with a Persian :-)

Hello, Your female cat may not be interested in mating with your male cat. Female cats are generally only interested in breeding when they are in heat. I would recommend keeping them separated to minimize stress to your female cat. Cats that do not breed together naturally may need artificial insemination to become pregnant. Introducing a new cat to the household can be quite disruptive. You will likely have to go back to the beginning, and give them time apart for several weeks. This will mean keeping the new male cat in a separate part of the house, where he can't be around your female cat. You don't even want them to see each other at this point, but it is ok if they are able to smell each other under the door. After a few weeks of this, try letting them see each other, but not in the same room. Finally, you can let them be in the same room, but make sure they are supervised and make sure that each cat has a way to get away from the other. I would also suggest that there are more than enough cats in the world - too many, in fact - and I recommend you considering getting both of them altered, instead of trying to force them to breed.

This will perpetuate underlying genetic conditions, and Siamese cats already have enough genetic problems.
