My cat is walking on an injured paw. Is it healing, and how long?

It typically takes around two to three weeks for a wound to fully heal, but if it's a deep wound, it will take long. Deep and/or long wounds require stitches to heal, so I would take him into the vet for that if the wound is deep and/or long.

Hi there. I'm afraid it depends on how severe the wounds are, and whether they're infected or not. If Thadiyan has injured his paw, I would definitely recommend taking him to the vet for an exam. He/she can prescribe antibiotics to help prevent infection and should be able to give you a better idea of how long it will take to heal depending on how it looks.

ALthough stitching is the fastest way to heal wounds (5-7days) as it helps sealing of the edges together in the correct alignment, most small flesh wounds such as this will heal over 3-4weeks if kept clean and infection is avoided. You must monitor closely for any heat, swelling or pain which may indicate infection requiring further treatment

Poor guy. Most wounds heal within 7-10 days. Delayed healing occurs in older dogs and in cases of active infection. Nails can take several weeks to months to regrow. I hope this helps. It is still quite early to see a 100% bounce back to full use of the declawed paws. Sometimes it may take several weeks to see a full recovery. I would ensure that you have plenty of pain medications and if not, contact your veterinarian so that more can be prescribed. I hope this helps! It's a little difficult to see the wound in your picture, but it looks like there might be some discharge on Prince's fur. If he is painful enough that he can't walk I'd be concerned that the wound could be infected or even that it affects the bone. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine Prince's leg - they might recommend taking an x-ray or may recommend antibiotics. If there's a large wound they might even recommend surgical repair.
