My cat keeps vomiting yellow bile, mucus, and foam. What's wrong?

There could be several causes of vomiting in your cat - gastritis (inflammation of the stomach wall), pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, intestinal parasites. The vomitus is yellow because it is mostly stomach acid and bile. This is not unusual if the stomach is empty of food when the cat vomits. I would recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours (small amounts of water is ok) and see if the vomiting resolves. If Toffee continues vomiting then I would recommend you take her in to the vet to be checked out.

It sounds as your cat is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better. if the vet thinks it is more serious she will need a blood test and possibly an ultrasound in order to find out what is wrong.

Yellow foamy vomit can sometimes indicate reflux or a very empty stomach. If it's only happened rarely, you can try offering food in smaller amounts more often to help keep Ravioli's tummy full and see if it helps. If he vomits more often, or seems lethargic or otherwise ill, or the vomiting continues intermittently even with a change in meal times, a vet visit is a good idea to rule out any more serious issues.

This is not specific to any disease, but indicates that something is either directly upsetting their stomachs, or generally making them feel nauseous. The yellow color is due to bile staining which doesn't tell much other than they are vomiting on an empty stomach. One possibility is that they ate something they were not supposed to like medication, a chemical (i.e. antifreeze), raw meat, or a plant (i.e. lilies). Vomiting is often the first signs of an exposure to a toxin, so I recommend checking if it's possible for them to have eaten anything other than their normal diet. Vomiting and nausea can also be due to an infectious disease, organ failure, or imbalance in the blood. In order to narrow down the possibilities, you would have to take them to the vet for an evaluation. This doesn't appear to be an emergency, but if they are acting very depressed and is vomiting continuously, then it would be best to take them to the vet sooner rather than later. If they are otherwise acting normal, then it's important to not give any food for the next eight hours, but make sure they have plenty of clean water available. If they are not vomiting in eight hours, then only feed a small amount of food (about 1Tbsp.). If they keep that down, then you can feed a little more in two hours. It's good that Casper has an appointment tomorrow. I wouldn't consider it an emergency based on the info you provided. When I would consider it an emergency is if he becomes very lethargic, isn't interested in food at all, or if there is blood in the vomitus.
