My cat vomited worms, is weak, not eating. Is this an emergency?

# critical situaltion need urgent advice 3/4 days earlier my cat vomited worms and haven't eaten or drink anything since. It has become very weak. I have been feeding it saline water with dropper for last 2 days for avoiding dehydration. It was drinking at first. But now it cannot even drink and is taking deep breaths. If i try to feed it it coughs. Now it just lies on its chest and eyes are almost small. What should I do? Vet clinics are off dur to COVID19 . Please help.

Vet clinics are still open on an emergency basis, and this is an emergency. A dropper of water isn't nearly enough to prevent dehydration in a cat that is not eating or drinking. Vomiting up worms means there are tons of worms inside, and there could even be lung worms. From the picture, there looks to be flea dirt on Prince's skin, which could mean he is anemic.

These signs could be compatible with an inflammation infection of the gastrointestinal system and surrounding organs (like pancreas and liver). Of course parasite infestation is possibly the underlying cause.
A clinical examination at your local veterinarian is immediately essential to confirm these clinical suspicions and treat appropriately. Antibiotics and possibly further investigations (like abdominal imaging as ultrasound or radiographs) may be needed.

Yes, although it is gross, he should be fine until you can see your veterinarian. If you can, save the vomit for your vet to confirm roundworm infection. Do not offer any food to your cat tonight. A small bowl of water or unflavored PediaLyte can be left out.

It sounds like he is pretty sick. He may need more than just a deworming, such as fluids and possibly some anti nausea medication. I would really taking the worm in a baggie with you when you take Daknto the veterinarian. If he seems weak and lethargic then you may want to go to an emergency clinic tonight. Hi, thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Poor Prince! From your pictures his eyes are a bit more dilated than normal. I am worried about your description of his symptoms. Has he been urinating? How old is he? It is possible that the old treats have caused an upset stop but it is probably a bit unlikely. I highly recommend having him seen today when your Vet opens, especially if you haven't seen him urinate since he started getting sick. Not being able to urinate for male cats is an emergency. Other possibilities are: viral or bacterial infection, toxin ingestion or he ate something causing a blockage. If he is old I would worry about kidney or liver disease and cancer.
