Why is my cat trembling after vaccination? Is it an allergic reaction?

I recommend calling a vet near you immediately, and having Linus seen, just to be safe. The epinephrine may have worn off by now, and in some cases allergic reactions require further care. If you notice any facial swelling, hives, or difficulty breathing, make sure to have him seen by a vet right away, as that could indicate a life threatening allergic reaction. Such a reaction to vaccinations are not completely uncommon, these usually resolve without treatment within 24 hours. if it has been more than 24 hours and she is still not herself i would advise you to contact your vet, sometimes pain killers are needed. in some more rare cases vaccination reaction can cause more long lasting issues, but this is extremely rare.

It can be normal for kittens to be somewhat tired and sore after vaccination, just like human children. Some may run a low-grade fever and not eat well for the first day or so after their shots. What is NOT normal would be any of the following symptoms: repeated vomiting, pale gums, difficulty breathing, or collapse/extreme weakness - these are signs of a serious allergic reaction. This is very rare following vaccination, but if it occurs it can be life-threatening - so if you observe any of these signs, make sure to get your kitten to the vet right away. If she is just tired and sore, it should be fine to monitor her at home - she should be feeling better within the next 24-48 hours.

It could be the start of a reaction or he could simply be frightening from the process. You can try a dose of children benadryl to see if that helps Titan. If he does not calm down, stop shaking, has vomiting or dirrhoea I would advise taking him back to the vet immediately.

It sounds like Lilly may have had a delayed hypersensitivity reaction to one of her vaccinations. You should call your vet and mention it so that in the future, they can give only vaccine at a time and/or keep her at the hospital for the day when she is getting vaccinated so they can watch her. You can see a mild fever after vaccines, and that could be the cause of Jack's shaking. Benadryl will not help with that if he has a fever. Keep an eye on him, and if the shaking continues for more than 24 hours or he develops other signs such as persistent vomiting and diarrhea, hives, swelling of the muzzle, and/or difficulty breathing, take him into a vet immediately. While this may be a reaction to the vaccines, I would not recommend that you give her Benadryl without having her physically evaluated by a veterinarian. There are scenarios where administering this medication would be contraindicated. I would highly recommend that you have Phoebe evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment.
