My cat keeps throwing up but acts normal. Should I see a vet?

I would definitely keep an eye on him, and if he vomits again or doesn't want to eat still, schedule a vet appointment. Issues such as minor GI upset, underlying illness, hairballs or obstructions, parasites, etc can all be possible causes of vomiting, which is why it's important to have it checked out if it continues more than once. If Lando seems in any obvious distress or pain (vocalizing, pacing, attempting to go potty but can't, tender to touch, etc), then he should be seen sooner.

This is very concerning and very abnormal. Vomiting in cats can be caused by primary issues with the gastrointestinal tract, dysfunction of the organs, infection, intolerance to a diet, etc. Either way, this is very concerning and KitKat should be seen by a veterinarian ASAP for examination and potential diagnostics.

Time will tell with this one. Since she's eating, drinking, and not lethargic, you certainly don't need to seek emergency care tonight. If tomorrow she still seems out of sorts, or continues to vomit, I would recommend scheduling a vet appointment for exam and x-rays of her abdomen. I'm sorry to hear that Hercules is not feeling well! I understand your concern for your little guy. You did the right thing by first withholding food after he vomited. However, the blood in his vomit is a bit more concerning. It could indicate irritation or ulcers in the esophagus or stomach, parasites, rat poison ingestion or blood clotting disorders. In young cats, one of the most common causes of recurrent vomiting is an intestinal or stomach foreign body obstruction. At this point, I recommend taking Hercules to his vet urgently for an exam and he may need abdominal x-rays and/or blood testing to get to the bottom of things. I hope that he feels better soon!

Vomiting can occur from many conditions such as kidney disease, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Peaches evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This will likely require bloodwork and abdominal imaging in terms of diagnostics. Treatment would be based on findings. At the very least your veterinarian could start him on medications to make him feel better. I am sorry that Stripes is not feeling well! Cats are very good at hiding signs that they are ill, so even though he has been acting normally, the fact that he has been vomiting a lot and that you indicate he wants to be close to you make me concerned. Vomiting is a non-specific sign of illness in cats (meaning that any sick cat can vomit and it does not point to a specific problem). When you take Stripes to the vet (and please call tomorrow for an appointment), your veterinarian will perform a complete physical exam and likely want to draw blood and sample some urine. I would recommend bringing a stool sample from home for them to look at too). Depending on what the exam reveals, your vet may also advise that x-rays should be taken. Hi and thanks for posting! If Haru just vomited one time today, I wouldn't worry too much. However, if the vomiting continues and he is vomiting more frequently, then a veterinary visit would be warranted. I would recommend withholding food from Haru for the rest of the day to give his stomach a break and then slowly reintroduce food to him giving a small amount at a time.
