My cat's eye is swollen and oozing after a fight. Does she need a vet?

Oh my. This appears to possibly be an injury to the eye and subsequent infection. It is hard to tell the degree of injury based on the photos, a vet exam is definitely needed her. I would highly recommend taking Mow to your local vet right away to get this eye tested, fully examined and treated. Best case scenario is that there isn't permanent damage done to this eye and antibiotics/pain medication /- drainage of a potential abscess are needed to get Mow better. I am sorry to hear about your kitty. I would recommend an examination by his vet when their office reopens. If your kitty is lethargic, not eating, painful, or has a fever (rectal temperature above 102.5) then a visit to the emergency vet would be recommended. With swelling like this we would worry about residual infection, reaction to suture material, foreign body in the eye, seroma or hematoma in the socket, tumor presence in the eye. In the meantime you can try applying a cool compress/ice pack (wrapped in a thin cloth) over the area if it seems uncomfortable for 10 minutes every few hours.

Considering that there are multiple problems, I think it would be worth a vet exam. Skin infections along with eye infections can indicate that something is off in the blood chemistry, or with the immune system. I don't mean to scare you, but it's best to just get it checked. A vet would be able to better assess Mya's condition and determine if any further testes or treatment is needed. It's possible that these problems could get much worse if left to heal on their own, so I wouldn't recommend that. In the meantime, the wound should be cleaned well by flushing with clean water for five minutes twice a day. I do not recommend putting any soaps or antiseptics on the wound right now, because it could irritate the wound and delay healing. I hope that helps and Mya gets better soon.

Yes, it does look like she suffered some trauma to that eye. From the photo, it looks like the eye probably cannot be saved. Kitty should see a veterinarian as soon as possible for an exam.
