Hi, and thanks for your question.
That is likely to be due to a mild to moderate conjunctivitis, probably secondary to a trauma or infection. A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well.

She may have an ulcer or scratch in her cornea. These can be painful and cause the discharge and inabukity to open the eye. The sooner her eye gets checked by a vet and started in antibiotics and pain medicine, the faster she will heal and keep full vision

Yes it sounds like a bad infection, and this is a medical emergency. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Please take him into a vet now to get this treated.
