Will spaying help my kitten's crazy night zoomies and loud meowing?

Baby is not yet sexually mature at 2 months, so spaying will probably not affect her behavior much at this point. Once she reaches sexual maturity her behavior could be affected, so I would still recommend having her spayed before 5 months of age. Lots of play time and toys are necessary at this age, and as she gets older she should gradually calm down a bit.

Assuming that Niyla’s vocalization and need for socialization are related to her going into heat, then yes, it is quite likely that having her spayed will help this behavior to improve. There could be other anxiety-related behaviors at play, but I would consider first having her spayed and then watching to see if these issues resolve. Other possible causes are: she sees other cats outside (territorial), anxiety (cats outside, starting heat, changes to house hold), attention seeking, or medical issue. I would close the blinds temporarily, provide environmental enrichment (cat trees, interactive cat toys, lazer pointer, play with her) and consider spaying her. Hello! With the information you described and Zoe's age it could indicate an early heat cycle. In that case getting her spayed would resolve the meowing. But meowing could also be a sign of pain/discomfort. A thorough exam by your veterinarian may help locate the problem and if anything more is needed

My first thought is quite honestly that calico cats have a reputation for being chatty or vocal, and she may just be developing part of her personality at her age. The next thought is that she could have an uncommon condition that is causing her to go into heat despite her spay. Ectopic ovarian tissue (reproductive tissue that grows in an abnormal place) can cause this, as well as exposure to estrogen containing creams for humans. The easiest test to confirm this is a swab of vaginal tissue.
