My cat's spay incision has a yellow pimple. Is this normal or serious?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

My female cat was recently spade. Her wound looked fine until today little red, pink no discharge but there seems to be what looks like a pimple with yellow head by her insission. What should I do?

I recommend you just leave it alone. It is very common for cats to get a suture reaction to the stitches under the skin after being spayed. It should heal just fine on it's own but if you would like to post again with a photo we may be able to help you better.
