My cat sits in a strange way. Is this a sign of pain or normal?

Yes, it can be normal. As long as she is having no problems walking, jumping, etc I would not worry about it. If she is having issues then you need to take her to the vet for an exam and x-rays of the hips/hind legs. Hope this helps. Best wishes!

I would be concerned that this may be related to some underlying discomfort as most cats will rotate positions and bend both legs at some time. Pets are right/left handed as are people and most will prefer a certain side but not to the point of never changing position. A thorough exam and xray of the paw/leg should be considered as early treatment and diet change/supplementation can help to reduce the impact pf injuries and arthritis in later life

It could be that Misty is in heat! Being more vocal, and lifting her butt up with her tail to the side are signs of heat. If she isn't spayed, that's the more likely explanation for her behavior. If you don't want kittens, I would keep her indoors and away from intact male cats, and have her spayed once her heat is over in three weeks.

He’s a good looking cat! The going limp on your lap is generally not abnormal. Some cats get very relaxed and some freeze if they are afraid. Reading the rest of his body language will tell you which it is. If you notice lameness, I recommend to record him walking or whenever it is that you notice he lameness and then set an appointment with his veterinarian. This looks like a perfectly normal kitten poop. He is probably not in pain but needs to tell everybody that he is having a poop. Like children.....The feces do not look to dry, therefore I do not think he is in pain.
