Why is my cat suddenly sleeping curled up and not on her side?

I would be concerned that this may be related to some underlying discomfort as most cats will rotate positions and bend both legs at some time. Pets are right/left handed as are people and most will prefer a certain side but not to the point of never changing position. A thorough exam and xray of the paw/leg should be considered as early treatment and diet change/supplementation can help to reduce the impact pf injuries and arthritis in later life

Yes, it can be normal. As long as she is having no problems walking, jumping, etc I would not worry about it. If she is having issues then you need to take her to the vet for an exam and x-rays of the hips/hind legs. Hope this helps. Best wishes!

If he is walking with a hunched back then he could have some abdominal pain or back pain. If it continues then he should be examined by a vet to identify the problem and determine the best way to treat. Your vet may need to take x-rays and run some routine lab-work to help diagnose.

Otherwise, if just happens when he is sleeping then it could potentially be normal. I do not believe from the photo you have provided that Pi is in pain. This can be a normals stance a cat takes. Often they can be in this position before they pounce. Signs that your Pi might be in pain would be; Restlessness Increased vocalisations Hiding behaviours Reluctance to eat

I'm sorry to hear that Jinx seems painful and has been sleeping more than normal. It is possible that all of his signs are related to arthritis, but sleeping more could be due to underlying health conditions, such as diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, cancer, among others. To answer your question, yes, you should take Jinx to the vet for further evaluation. He will certainly need a physical exam and may also need some lab testing to assess his internal organ function. Whenever there is a behavior change in a cat, we suspect an underlying disease condition or painful area (arthritis for example). With him hunching down I would suspect a possible arthritis and recommend getting him examined by your vet to determine if x-rays are indicated here.
