My cat is shaking head, not eating. Is something stuck in his mouth?

Poor Missy! She could have a dental problem causing her symptoms, such as a tooth root abscess, broken tooth, or severe periodontal disease. There could also be a growth or foreign body in her mouth. Shaking the head frequently can also be a sign of an ear infection, while licking the mouth as well as not eating and drinking can be a sign of nausea . She is in pain from this, and she is showing this to by shaking her head frequently, licking her mouth, not eating, and not drinking. Shaking in usually a sign of fever or pain, as he isn't eating there must be something wrong with Bobby, i would recommend taking him to the vet to day in order to get it checked, it might be something minor but it could also be serious, a cat that is not eating is usually ill and requires treatment.

I recommend to take him to the vet immediately he may have a foreign body (FB) in his mouth. Linear FB such as strings can be under the tongue. the fact he seems in distress and not eating/drinking will require him to be checked by a vet possibly under sedation to look thoroughly and safely in the mouth do not to try to do it yourself especially since he is not cooperative .Try and get him in a carrier to take him. Regardless of cause, this is a serious medical condition since it is preventing him from eating and drinking normally. Your cat is at risk of becoming dehydrated and developing a condition called hepatic liposis, which can lead to liver failure. Even going 24 hours without food can cause changes in liver functioning.
