How to prevent cat from scratching eye wound if she won't wear a cone?

Get an elizabethan collar for him and hopefully this will keep both areas protected from his scratching. They make hard and soft varieties of these collars. Make sure he wears it at all times as even a little disruption to the area will send back the healing process. If he is not getting better with your home care treatment in a week or so, have him examined by his veterinarian as he may need systemic medications. Place an e-collar (cone) on Skids to prevent pawing or rubbing. Consider a consultation with a veterinary dermatologist. A biopsy of the area should be submitted for pathology. a culture and sensitivity panel is also an idea to identify any organism responsible for infection as well as the best antibiotic to use in treatment. The e-collar should stay on until the area heals.

Ouch! Poor Athrns. I would keep an eye on the wound and keep it clean and dry as well as use an Elizabethan (cone) collar to keep her from rubbing at it. If the area doesn't heal, worsens, swells up, or becomes hot or painful to the touch that can indicate an infection which should be seen by your vet.

Oh my goodness, those hats are so cute! The problem with the hats is that typically cats hate wearing them, and you might have a lot of problems keeping one on Luna. Finally, I would make an appointment her vet to diagnose the cause of her itching her ears (it could be an ear infection, mites, fleas, or allergies) so it can be treated.
