My cat is scooting and licking. Is it worms or time for a vet?

That's definitely abnormal behavior. I would be worried about his anal glands from that description. It's possible that he had an anal glands problem at one point and developmented a scooting habit that stuck. Another possibility is that he is itchy - this can be caused by food or environmental allergies. I would recommend asking your vet if they thought a hypoallergenic diet (for allergies) or a high fever diet (like royal canin fiber response, for anal glands) would be most appropriate for him and go from there. Poor Willow! There is a chance that she could have full, impacted or infected anal glands, or intestinal worms if she is licking her hind end. If she is lethargic and not eating or drinking normally, she see a vet immediately. Otherwise, it may be okay to wait until tomorrow. I hope that she feels better soon!

I would have Duchess seen by a vet for this problem, but I wouldn't consider it an emergency to rush her into one tonight. I'm sorry Chase isn't doing well! There are a couple of things this could be causing her symptoms. Given that she is scooting along the floor and licking her private area, she could have impacted anal sacs. That would also cause her to hover and leave clear liquid behind. This could also be caused by intestinal parasites. If the clear liquid is coming from her vulva, it could be urine and Chase could have a UTI. None of these things will kill her, but she does need to see a vet in order to have the cause diagnosed so she can be treated. The cost of treatment for this varies by area and clinics within the area, but for anal sac impaction, that should only be the cost of an exam to fix. Any medication needed, such as for intestinal worms, would be an additional cost on top of the exam. For a UTI, there will be tests needed to be done as well as antibiotics prescribed.
