Why is my spayed indoor cat scooting her rear but has no worms?

Pet's info: Cat | Snowshoe | Female | spayed | 9 years and 9 months old | 8 lbs

My 10 year old female cat is scooting her rear on the carpet, she is indoor only and never goes outside, she was fixed years ago, I see no worms in feces or on her

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Mini. Scooting can also indicate a problem with the anal sacs. Hers may be impacted and need to be expressed. I'd take her into the vet to have this diagnosed and treated. I hope this helps.
