My young cat is rolling on her back and acting weird. Is she in heat?

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | unspayed

Why is my cat acting so weirdly, she is 12 months old and is called Bella, she is rolling around on her back and when i stroke her she holds me tightly. Can you help

It is quite likely she is in heat, especially if she is also calling or shouting loudly. If you do not want kittens, be sure to keep her indoors and isolated from any unneutered male cats until you can have her spayed

    Yes, it sounds like she is in heat. There is nothing you can do. This is a natural process and she will be fine.

    After she goes out of heat I suggest you have her spayed if possible to avoid unwanted pregnancy and medical/health issues.
