Cats can get pink eye that is typically viral in nature although bacterial infections is possible. Other causes of her symptoms include corneal injury (ulcers or scratches). Unfortunately. there is nothing OTC that you can use to treat her.
Ideally, she should be physically examined by your veterinarian and have the eye stained to rule out injury. Your vet can dispense the appropriate medication afterwards. Discuss payment plans or alternative financing options, such as CareCredit ( www.carecredit.com ), with your veterinarian. Friends and family can also be asked to assist you.
