These signs might be compatible with a pancreatic disease (usually an inflammation). Often gastrointestinal inflammation is associated as well. Unfortunately pain killers would be required. Please contact your vets office to discuss her specific case - primary EPI (reduced function or pancreatic volume) is seldom painful in contrast to inflammatory pancreatitis. Pancreatitis itself can result in scarring and reduced function requiring additional enzyme supplementation. Prednisolone has some antiinflammatory properties and many pain medications cannot be combined with this so a risk benefit judgement must be made in consultation with the treating vet in order to determine to safest and most effective management of such a complicated condition

Unless she is still on steroids, which could cause vomiting, It sounds as Mia is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking her to the vet the first chance you get, she will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection she will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

Hello and thank you for your post! I am sorry to hear that Aprile is not feeling well. With the Cushing's medication, this can cause the reverse disease called Addison's disease. The Cushing's medication will decrease the steroids in the body. Sometimes this medication can decrease the steroids too much and lead to an addisonian crisis. If your vet has not checked blood work to see what the electrolytes and the rest of the blood work looks like I would certainly want to see what the CBC and chemistry look like. If your vet has examined her and deems that steroids are necessary due to the examination and clinical appearance then a dose of steroids is probably okay to administer with the suspicion that the Cushing's medication has decreased the natural steroids in the body too much. Famotidine is just Pepcid AC, so it is absolutely safe to give. If the pancreatitis is very bad, then I would suggest keeping her in the hospital on supportive care until she's feeling better.
