Can I give my pet treats after Omeprazole on an empty stomach?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | spayed | 9 years and 11 months old | 12 lbs

Dewey is on Omeprazole. I understand it needs to be given empty stomach. But can I give her a few treats after administering the drug? Just to make her experience a little better. Thanks.

I am afraid, that is not ok, as giving food (treats) right after administering omeprazole is the same as giving food before administering it. If she likes ice cubes you can give her an ice cube to play with.
