My 1-year-old female cat hasn't gotten pregnant. Is this normal?

I think in this case there are basically two possibilities: either she did not go into heat (that can happen anytime up to the 18th month or she went and she showed few signs. It is not common to observe vaginal bleeding from a cat in heat. The most notable signs of estrus in cats are behavioral. Most cats become very affectionate, even demanding; they persistently rub against their owners (or objects such as furniture), constantly wanting attention. They roll on the floor. When stroked along the back or spine, they raise their rear quarters into the air and tread with the back legs. They also become very vocal. These behavior changes often become annoying to owners, and sometimes owners think their cat has some unusual illness.

Most cats do get into their first heat between 7 10 months but in some cases it can even be 12 months. occasionally the first heat cycle may also be silent, so it basically happens but you would not notice it.

Some cats may have a delayed first heat cycle and still be normal, however if you are concerned, an exam with your vet or theriogenologist (animal reproductive specialist) can determine if there is any issue. Sometimes a mating doesn't take, and the cat doesn't get pregnant. It could also be due to a health problem, such as an infection of the uterus called a pyometra. I would take her into the vet for an exam to make sure she is healthy. Cats go into heat multiple times a year, so if she didn't get pregnant this time, she could possibly get pregnant her next heat.

Hello! Meribelle is just beautiful. Some cats take longer to go into heat than others, so it may be that she's a bit late. It could also be that she's had a silent heat. Thank you for submitting your question regarding Peynir. While she is physically able to become pregnant at such a young age, it is not advisable. As a kitten, she herself is still growing. Pregnancy would put a huge demand at her body now. I recommend waiting until she is well over a year of age, if not two years old, to breed her. I hope this information helps!

Persians are known to be taking their times with everything, that includes heat cycles. many of them also experience silent heat cycles that you will not notice. there is nothing that you can do about it, if your intentions where to breed her, the best solution would be to have a male around for several weeks, during that time she is more than likely to come in heat.
