My cat won't eat, drink, or pee and is sleeping a lot. Is it serious?

Not going to the bathroom, lack of appetite and laying in one spot can be a sign of a blockage in the urethra or intestines. Without knowing more, I think it's best if you do take her for an evaluation by a vet ASAP, because this could be a serious problem. I highly recommend taking Marshmallow to the veterinarian today. It can be very dangerous for cats not to eat and my concern is he has a urinary blockage which need immediate care. If you regular veterinarian isn't open please take him to an emergency veterinarian as soon as possible. A blocked cat that cannot urinate is life-threatening. It's really difficult to know for sure without being able to examine her. Given that she hasn't eaten for two days and is lethargic and vomiting, I have to recommend that she be seen by a vet as soon as possible. This could indicate a severe disease, or toxin ingestion. If it has been more than a day without drinking or urination, or your cat seems in severe distress (vocalizing, painful abdomen, attempting to urinate but can't, etc), then this should be seen by your vet immediately as it may indicate another blockage that requires treatment.

Persistent vomiting and anorexia are signs of significant illness in cats, either from fever, infection or inflammation. Urinary obstruction leads to dangerous toxin build up and potential kidney injury and hospital treatment is necessary immediately and may include intravenous fluids and medications. Occasionally kidney damage can be irreversible

Hi there and thanks for your post on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Oh, I am sorry to hear about Oreo- sounds like he is not feeling well at all. It is hard to say exactly what is going on with Oreo without examining him first. If he hasn't moved from one location in a few days, this is very concerning and tells me Oreo may be very ill. There can be many causes for Oreo's symptoms. Drinking a lot of water lately is a sign of diabetes mellitus or kidney disease. If he has only urinated a couple times in the last 3 days, he could have a urinary plug or blockage. In any case, Oreo should be taken to his nearest emergency veterinary clinic ASAP to determine the cause of his illness so he can get better soon. There is really nothing you can at home to help- taking him to a veterinarian is the best thing for him. I hope this helps and best of luck to you and Oreo. I hope he fells better soon.
