So my cat hasn't been eating as much after coming back from boarding at our vets. He will eat half of the food and walk away but will eat all of his food if I feed it to him. He is acting completely normal other than that and will happily eat treats. He's been on EN gastroenteric wet food since he was a kitten. He gets three meals a day and eats a total of one and a quarter cans of food (as advised by our vet). Is it because he's getting bored of this type of food?

I would be a little concerned. If the appetite doesn’t return to normal by tomorrow then I would encourage you to have him evaluated by your veterinarian as soon as possible. He may be brewing an upper respiratory infection which is common in cats who have been stressed. He may be running a fever but no outward signs yet. Best of luck and I hope he improves soon. Thank you for using Pet Coach.
