My cat's neuter incision looks bad 4 days post-op & ear clipped. Help!

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year old | 8 lbs

My cat was neutered around 4 days ago, it doesnt look right to me. I was wondering what you think. They also "clipped" his ear, they chopped off literally half his ear and it also looks horrible. Im just worried because we're out of town with him so we wouldnt be able to see his regular vet BUT of course I will go see the one here if you think it's necessary.

Hello. It is difficult to tell if the neuter incision is OK, but it does not look too bad to me. If you are concerned, definitely get with your vet soon. As for the ear, I have NEVER heard of a veterinary practice clipping a cat's ear to signify it has been neutered when it is a personally owned cat. In many communities, wild & feral cats that have no owners are trapped, neutered & the ear clipped to signify the surgery has been done. These cats are then released back into their pre-captured territories to live out their lives. I would find out if this is a normal procedure in your area & if not, I would definitely complain to the practice owner & possibly even to the your state veterinary board. I can understand a small tattoo mark to signify the surgery ( although it is pretty obvious in a male cat ), but this is totally uncalled for & I am so sorry this happened to your pet. My cat's spay or neuter incision looks weird. Is it infected?
The incisions do not appear to be infected in the images supplied. Confirm all three cats have e-collars (cones) in place to prevent licking. The cones should stay on for at least 10-14 days post op. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite, odor, excessive bruising, active bleeding or discharge.

My cat's ear got cut during neutering. How do I prevent infection?
You likely don't need to do anything to Purrcy's ear as they can typically heal the wound without any help. Watch it for any redness, swelling or discharge. If you want to apply a topical antibiotic you will need to put an elizabethan collar on Purrcy so that he cannot rub it off and then ingest it while grooming. If it starts looking infected, take him into the vets for antibiotics. It will likely heal within 10-14 days. I hope this helps!

Is my cat's neuter incision healing okay 6 days after surgery?

My cat was neutered 2 days ago. Is a bulge near incision normal?
Hello. This is not normal. Traditionally, the incisions over the acrotum are left open when a cat is neutered. Some of the scrotal tissue appears to be bulging out. This is not life threatening, but may delay healing time or possibly become infected. I would suggest that you have your cat rechecked by the veterinarian that performed the surgery. Based on the photos you provided, I would recommend having the veterinarian take a look at this. This should be cleaned up with an antiseptic solution and potentially closed using stitches. My cat was neutered yesterday. Does his glued incision look okay?
I don't see any signs of infection, and while it appears a little bit of the incision is open (maybe the glue didn't stick correctly), it's doesn't appear deep or big enough to be concerning. Continue to monitor him.

This is definitely not normal, this requires a closer look to be taken by a vet, it might need to be repaired under sedation. this can wait for a normal vet apointment as long as it is no later than tomorrow morning.
