My cat was neutered yesterday. Does his glued incision look okay?

Restrict his activity if possible. That may allow for more rapid healing. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite, excessive bleeding or discharge and fever. If Gary is behaving normally and eating normally, then he should, indeed, be fine and healing uneventfully.

The incisions do not appear to be infected in the images supplied. Confirm all three cats have e-collars (cones) in place to prevent licking. The cones should stay on for at least 10-14 days post op. Monitor for lethargy, loss of appetite, odor, excessive bruising, active bleeding or discharge.

Hello. Cats don’t like to follow the rules sometimes. This incision looks great. The flakiness is just some residue of the skin glue, the green is tattoo ink . There does not appear to be any problems with this incision at all right now. Continue to monitor it and watch specifically for redness, discharge or significant swelling. This is definitely not normal, this requires a closer look to be taken by a vet, it might need to be repaired under sedation. this can wait for a normal vet apointment as long as it is no later than tomorrow morning.

I hate to hear that this happened to Rusty. That looks like it is likely the subcutaneous tissue. Ideally that could be glued tonight with the sterile surgical glue. If you see anything coming through that looks like a tube, you need to be worried. I recommend to call the clinic and see if you can run him back in. Better to deal with things tonight rather than wait for the tissue to dry out- which still might be ok but not ideal. Best of luck with the little guy!
