Should I worry if my cat misses a few days of Enalapril medication?

It's very important that Molly gets her enalapril as scheduled, and missing three doses can be harmful to her health. I can't say if she will die or not, but I do think it's best to give her one of the missed doses now (not all three!) and then the next as regularly scheduled. Hello. Do not worry. Missing a dose or two will not set Nyla back nor worsen her condition. Kidney disease & the subsequent blood pressure problems are both chronic conditions, so a few missed doses, while not ideal, will really do her no harm. Just resume the medication as soon as you can. Felimazole is a treatment for feline hyperthyroidism. Missing one dose of this medication usually doesn't significantly affect the blood levels of the drug, so I would expect no negative effects from the missed pill. If you suspect that he's getting to be good at spitting out the pills once you give them (i.e. you find more around the house), talk to your vet about a liquid formulation of this medication, that might be easier for you to give. It also can be formulated as a topical medication that is rubbed inside the ear.

It would help to know what medical condition she is taking the steroid for - if she has a life-threatening auto-immune disease, for example, then I would definitely not want to skip any doses since this could cause a relapse of her disease. When a cat is on steroids, they are getting corticosteroids from this medication and as a result, the adrenal glands stop producing them. When a cat suddenly stops steroids, the adrenal glands won't simply start making these hormones immediately. Without these hormones in his system or a way to make them, he can go into shock or die without emergency medical attention. Do not let him miss days of it.
