Why is my cat meowing and mellow after moving? Is this normal?

I would give her some more time. I would also entice her to come out with some new toys and even an interactive laser. I say give them at least 2 weeks to become fully comfortable with the new house. If it has only been a few days since moving into the new house, I would give them some time to adjust. It can take up to two weeks for animals to feel comfortable in a new home. If after another week they are not adjusting I would talk with your veterinarian about anxiety medication for them. I would also make sure both cats are getting a lot of attention, play time, have enough litter boxes and have places they feel comfortable in. I wouldn't say this is necessarily a common phenomenon but it is possible Jordan knows where he is and thinks of this home as his 'home territory' and is most comfortable here. Some cats are very territory oriented. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.

You can try using a Feliway pheromone diffuser to help him relax, or a natural calming supplement such as Composure or Zylkene to see if this helps.

It totally can mean that Miley is scared and not sure where she is or what happened. This is the most likely and sensible option. I would confine her to a room with food/water and a litter box. Get things settled and visit with her often. Let her get used to that room. It may take 1-2 days for her to start eating. If she is eating and eliminating normally I do not think she is sick. If she won't eat by day 3, starts vomiting or showing other symptoms have her examined. After a week, if she looks calm and happy open the door and let her explore your new place at her convenience. She has the room as a comfort place. I wish you the best!
