My cat meows constantly and drools a lot. Is this normal cat behavior?

Why does my cat meow so much? Even when I have people over they can't believe how much she meows even when shes outside and I'm looking at her through the window she will be walking and meowing shes been like this ever since she was a kitten and shes been fixed since 6 months she also drools alot why??? Since the very day I took her home at 10 weeks she was meowing 3 years later she's still meowing shes doesnt meow all day tho maybe like 70-80% of the time

Some cats are very vocal and that’s how they interact. I’ve also seen deaf cats that meow excessively since they can’t hear themselves. Drooling usually occurs when cats are purring and happy. Is my cat's drooling normal when I pet him or when he sleeps?

This is totally normal! When a cats sleeps, the muscles in their mouth relax, leading to the drooling. This happens with humans too. And some cats can drool when purring. I had a cat as a kid who drooled so much when she was on my lap that I always ended up with a big wet spot. I hope this helps!

Why is my 3-year-old cat making quick meows with head movements?

If your cat is otherwise acting normal and eating fine I wouldn’t worry too much about this. Keep an eye on your cat and watch for drooling any swelling or soreness in the mouth or any reluctance to eat. If you notice any of the signs then you may want to have her checked out. Hi and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Some cats (just like people) tend to be more talktative than others. A cat in heat can certainly cause a male to be more restless and vocal. For his best long term health I would recommend having Kovu neutered, but being vocal is not necessarily a sign of illness. If he is eating, drinking, urinating and defecating normally, then "talking" may just be his personality.

Why does my cat meow with open mouth, head back while eating?

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Kopol. That is odd behavior for a cat to display. Is he tasting something bad during these episodes? A new food for example? If not, does he pant or breathe with his mouth open? This can be a sign of respiratory distress in a cat. I recommend that he sees his veterinarian for an examination. He could possibly be painful. Based on these results, blood work may be recommended as well. A thyroid disorder can cause a cat to meow more frequently. I hope this information helps!
