My cat pulled out matted hair. Will her bald spot grow back okay?

Poor Rhu! You can try a little coconut oil in that area to help soothe it. If it is ulcerated, you may also try a little Neosporin ointment. I would also put a cone collar on her to prevent her from licking that area. Licking will only may the area worse. If the area isn't healing, I would have your vet take a look at it to see if she needs some oral antibiotics or stronger medicines. It could take 2-6 weeks for the area to regrow depending on how long it takes the skin to heal. Very rarely will these types of wounds scar. If it scars, the hair will not grow back. However even if she is grooming herself, brushing her daily or several times weekly can help to prevent matting in the future.

If there is a chance that the skin was burned by the wax, I would recommend having Milks examined by your veterinarian because burns can be very serious and difficult to heal. Yes, it will grow back again. All the scratches seem to be superficial so disinfection will be possibly enough and can be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Hi there. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it looks like the skin looks pretty normal. Has she recently had any injections in that are? Vaccines, or pain medication really any injection in a cat can cause inflammation and hair loss. If the area is red, has a scab, or continues to spread then she should probably have an examination by a veterinarian. Hopefully the hair grows back soon!

If your veterinarian is correct about the diagnosis and you follow the direction, the hair should start regrowing in 6-8 weeks once all the mites are dead. Sometimes the hair can grow earlier. If it's past 8 weeks, have Pista examined again. Please feel free to post any additional questions.
