Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 1 year and 2 months old
My cat is around 68 days pregnant she lost her mucus plug Saturday evening and looks as though waters broke Sunday lunch time but still no sign of kittens she doesn't seem in any discomfort and is still eating plenty I don't know wether to wait a bit longer or take her to the vets this is her first litter

She is just over the normal gestation period so I would recommend getting her seen by your vet for an exam, just to make sure everything is okay. Since she seems to be acting fine otherwise, I wouldn't be too worried, but if she has a biggish kitten slowing things up she may need assistance.

Yes, if is has been greater than 24 hours since she had a kitten and you think she is still pregnant then she needs to see a Vet. They can do an X-ray to see how many kittens remain and use an ultrasound to check their heart beats to see if they are in distress. She may need a C-section.
