My cat licked frying oil off her paws. Will she get sick from it?

That was naughty of Vurtue to eat that cup of chicken skin and fat! The good news is that in cats eating a lot of fat doesn't cause pancreatitis, but you could see some GI upset from eating all that food. If you do see any GI upset in the form of vomiting or diarrhea, I recommend withholding food for 12-24 hours, then feeding a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. Silly girl, hope she's ok!

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that Luna got into the pan with onions. Generally, she would need to eat a few mouthfuls of pure onion to get a toxic amount. A few licks of oil in a pan with onion in it wouldn't cause problems, except maybe some GI distress from excess fat. If she did ingest a toxic amount of onions, it would cause anemia which results in weakness and lethargy. If you are concerned about the amount she ingested, call her veterinarian and schedule an appointment for a physical exam and bloodwork. I hope this helps. Brownie should be just fine. House lizards are not poisonous. However, I don't recommend giving her the olive oil in the future, because too much fat suddenly can stress her pancreas and cause a painful and dangerous condition called pancreatitis. Just watch for vomiting and diarrhea from the oil, and take her to a vet if you see that, but otherwise you're good to go.

At most I would expect to see a bit of diarrhea or softer stools for about 24 hours afterwards. You can try offering a bland diet of boiled chicken and rice during this time, to help minimize any stomach upset caused from eating the rich foods. If Daisy starts vomiting or has diarrhea that worsens over 24 hours, I would suggest taking her to a vet, as occasionally eating very rich foods can cause pancreatitis which is more serious and requires additional medications and care. Katrina most likely will be fine. I can't imagine she ingested enough to be toxic. Just monitor her closely to be sure she is eating and drinking OK and her normal active self. These chemicals can cause oral ulcerations (sores in her mouth) which may make her not want to eat. If you are worried about her you can always take her to your vet for an exam.
