Why is my cat lethargic with gooey mouth discharge and pain?

Hello. It sounds like your poor kitty is unwell. This could be anything from an upper respiratory infection to some dental issues, such as an infected or abscessed tooth. Most of these things are just too complicated to try & deal with at home, especially if antibiotics are needed. What you describe could be due to things like an oral abscess or even cancer, among other possibilities. Loss of appetite and lethargy can be observed with many conditions such as gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, kidney disease, pancreatitis, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Gimli evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They would be able to check for these possibilities and others depending on the findings on exam. I would recommend having a veterinarian take a look at her for further testing to help determine what the problem is. She will likely need an antibiotic which your vet can prescribe and get her started on right away. I would also recommend testing her for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus (felv/fiv testing). I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. I can't really get a good idea from the photos what may be going on. The sticky discharge could be coming from the nose, the mouth or perhaps he put his muzzle in something sticky. Gently clean off the area and try to determine the source of the discharge. Also try to note if you are seeing any signs of an upper respiratory tract infection. If you are unsure of the cause, if it gets worse or if it continues beyond 48hours, I recommend to have Soxy examined by the veterinarian. It's always best to play it safe.

I'm sorry Shara isn't feeling well. We commonly see viral upper respiratory infections that can cause nasal and ocular discharge as well as fever in cats. Sometimes that requires your vet to give her fluids. You will also want to make sure that she does't have any secondary infections that need to be treated. Once your vet has evaluated her and treated her appropriately, be sure to try really smelly canned food to get her to eat. A cat's sense of smell is important to get them to eat, so if they have nasal discharge, sometimes we have to feed them much smellier food than normal to get them to eat. Good luck! I'm very concerned about her secreting a white liquid, and I'm worried it's not coming from her bottom but rather her vulva. I see she is not spayed, and she could have a pyometra. This is an infection of the uterus that causes a white discharge, loss of appetite, and severe lethargy. A pyometra is fatal without treatment, so I think the best thing to do is take her into a vet immediately. If she does have a pyometra, spaying her is part of the recommended treatment. Best of luck.
