My cat has green, pasty poop and is lethargic. Should I see a vet?

There is no way to tell what’s going on without examining him but some common possibilities are: a cat bite wound/ abscess, kidney disease, pancreatitis, something stuck in the GI tract, heart disease, diabetes, and others. Take Luke into the vet tomorrow. He or she will ask many more questions, do a physical exam, and rank these in order of most likely depending on those findings as well as his age, etc. He or she may recommend bloodwork which can help rule out some of those things mentioned above and may raise or lower suspicion for a toxin. Vomiting is sometimes seen with conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, pancreatitis and chronic kidney disease, among many other conditions. Given Leia's young age and the fact that she is otherwise doing fine, dietary indiscretion appears more likely. It may be something as easy as just changing her diet to something that she can tolerate better. However, an examination by a veterinarian as well as minimal diagnostic data would be needed to rule out more concerning things. You can start by changing her diet to a sensitive stomach type diet. Poor Binx! Yes, this is a vet visit when a cat is both vomiting and having diarrhea as well as being very lethargic. I'm concerning he's throwing up water as well, and that can quickly lead to dehydration. Poor kitty. Most definitely Lzzy should be seen by a vet. 4-5 days of both vomiting and diarrhea without medications started to help with this is bound to cause him to become severely dehydrated and malnourished. He also needs a fecal exam and potentially bloodwork to determine what the underlying cause of his iillness is, so that he can receive proper treatment. At the very least the vet can prescribe medication to stop the vomiting and antibiotics +/- probiotics for the diarrhea, after making sure no parasites are in the stool that would also require a dewormer.
