My cat has something near his ear and is acting weird. What is it?

That looks like a tick. I suggest you remove it or have it removed by someone else. Make sure you check the rest of his body for any others. If he goes outdoors you need to be sure to use a flea/tick prevention on him EVERY month. Even though the pics are slightly out of focus, the growth you described seems to be a tick. I would recommend a clinical examination at your local veterinarian as an essential to confirm this and remove it appropriately. Local antibiotics may be needed.

This actually does not look like a tick. This could be a little cyst or wart. Check it at the bottom closest to the skin. If it has tiny legs, it is a tick, and you should pull it out; if not, then it is a growth and you may want your vet to examine it.

Thank you for providing a picture and for helping this start cat out! It is difficult to say based on the picture of it is a tick or perhaps even an ulcerated skin growth. For this reason I would be hesitant about trying to use a tick removing device. The risk of bleeding or infection could be high if the lesion is in fact not a tick. You could try a warm water bath over the lesion to see if you can visualise the area in greater detail and repost a picture. This could be an infection-bacterial or perhaps fungal. It could also be due to a flea allergy. I would recommend keeping Jorfy on a flea preventative monthly to rule out a flea allergy but also have him see his veterinarian. Your veterinarian may do a skin scraping and/or fungal culture to rule out bacterial infection or a fungal infection. He may need antibiotics, antifungal medications, or other medications as needed. Thanks for visiting Petcoach! Since mites are not visible without the use of a microscope, I am going to assume you are seeing ticks on Tikvichko. Ticks can be prevented with only 1 preventative that I am aware of on he market right now, and hat product is called Bravecto for cats. Here is a website link with more information. https://us.bravecto.com/for-cats.aspx But to rid the ticks that are on him currently, and also to treat for his other conditions (likely an upper respiratory infection and possible tick borne disease) I highly recommend taking him in to your vet for a proper exam and possible tests to make sure he didn’t get some infection from the ticks.
