Is it safe if I accidentally gave my cat Strongid twice for worms?

Updated on September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 3 years and 3 months old | 13 lbs

I gave my cat 1.5cc of Strongid liquid for round worms, and then by accidentally gave it to him again today. I forgot that I had given it to him yesterday. Is this overdose dangerous?

No that is fine. Luckily strongid is a very safe medication. I like to write down on a calendar when I treat my pets because I sometimes forget too. That way I can check before I give more. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to help you care for Moo.
