Maude is so cute! It's hard to say what is going on with her as these signs could be nothing to worry about or they could be early signs of an illness. Sometimes the pitch of the meow will change with inflammation, a growth or infection in or near the vocal cords. Excessive meowing can also be a sign of pain or anxiety. I've also seen cats who were strictly indoor and then went outdoors and decided they liked it out there and didn't want to spend time inside any more. I would closely monitor her activity and appetite and watch for other signs such as vomiting, diarrhea or lethargy. If her behavioral changes coincide with these other signs of illness, I would definitely recommend taking her to your veterinarian for evaluation.
