My cat makes crunching noises without opening mouth. Is it teething?

Normally all of their adult teeth have grown in by the age of 6 months. So if his adult canine (the large pointy ones) have grown in then he is likely done getting all of his teeth and over 6 moths old. Unfortunately, some kittens will continue to "teeth" or be mouthy until they are well over 1 year old just because that is kitten behavior. I hope this answers your question.

Yes he could be teething. This behavior is common in young kittens. Please keep him in a safe place where he can’t chew on electric cords. He should be less bitey as he grows up. At this age the bad breath might be because of teething, which occurs until the age of around 5 months of age, after that if the bad breath remains it's probably due to gum disease, which is very common in cats, in most cases it doesn't bother the cat and thus does not require treatment.

Hello. Pets don’t normally paw at their face due to routine teething unless there is some significant discomfort with it and that would be abnormal. It would be best to try to determine if she has something else going on or some source of pain. You can try to look yourself but it can be difficult to do . It is important to look closely at the roof of the mouth and you may require some help or a veterinarian to examine her.

The latter being rather uncommon in young cats. As long as Frank is bright, has good appetite and does not show any mouth discomfort or halitosis, I would suggest to monitor him at home for the next 1-2 months. If the symptoms do not get any better you should take him to your local vets then.
