It is possible she may have aspirated a small amount into her lungs. Monitor for continued coughing, sneezing, nasal discharge or lethargy. If enough was aspirated, the potential for pneumonia exists. A small syringe should be used instead of a spoon. The problem is how much is Sweetie going to fight you at the next dose, & then the next one after that. I still prefer pills, as depending on the size, most are pretty tiny, or tablets can be formulated into tasty treats. I have also found that a lot of cats really love the taste of an product called Churu, by INABA. It is a lickable treat that makes it super simple to hide a small pill in it. If he starts to have an elevated respiratory rate, difficulty breathing, or increased cough than he may need a steroid. If he is only coughing a few times a day and otherwise seems fine than it doesn't sound like he needs a steroid, yet.

If the cough was not there before the endoscopy, then it is likely that it has been caused by the procedure or by the intubation that might have been done for the anaesthesia. This is not uncommon and it could last a week or so.

There is an injection called depo medrol, i personally do not recommend it as potential side effects can be very serious. the better option in my opinion are tablets, prednisolone tablets for cats are very small and easily hidden in gravy or wet food. most cats eat the wet food and never even suspect there is a tablet inside. it's not a big deal if you are 1-2 hours late.

This does appear to be a normal reaction to oral medication. Cats really do not like the taste of the medication and tend to drool and hold their mouth open. If this was to happen 20 minutes, or more after you gave the medication, then I'd be concerned that it is an adverse reaction to the medication. In that case, it would be best to contact your veterinarian. If the medication appears to be stressing her out so much that she is having labored breathing, then it may be worthwhile to change the way it is delivered.
