My cat couldn't walk after a bath. How do I safely bathe my dirty cat?

He is a young kitten so bathing him shouldn't be as scary as it would for an adult cat. He will likely just be scared and try to climb out of the tub or climb you. It could be that Mennu doesn't like baths, and she's shaking afterwards due to fear or cold. Baths can be stressful, and that can lead her to be lethargic. I'd avoid bathing her unless absolutely necessary. Best of luck.

Hi, you can use the dry shampoo as long as it’s formulated for cats. If not, you can use plain water but rather than trying to dip him or soak him, you can try just using a wet cloth and rub it around his body. Hope this helps,

Hi, thanks for using PetCoach! Poor Pocky! I would be sure he doesn't have fleas or a skin infection. If he does treat the fleas as that will relieve the scratching. If the has red crusty bumps he may have an allergy to the food or environment or a skin infection. If that is the case it is best to see a vet. Otherwise I really like water-less shampoo to clean animals that can't be bathed. Have a good day!

Poor Button! Typically depending on where the fracture of the leg is and damage to the joints a basic cast might not result in complete healing. However, it is really important the cast stays dry and clean. IF the cast gets wet it can cause infection under the cast. If you feel the cast is dirty and wet I would recommend taking Buttons back to the vet to have it checked. However, if you feel it is clean and just buttons is dirty. A small sponge bath with just warm water to keep her back end clean is okay. I would let her set her own limitations. Typically in cast cat can walk a little bit and will learn over time how to get around better while it heals. I hope that helps
