What's stuck on my 3-year-old cat's canine teeth? Food, hair, or more?

This is likely staining of the tooth from her food. There is an indentation in the tooth normally in that area that can easily collect foostuffs and staining. I wouldn't be too concerned about it and just recommend brushing his teeth daily to help prevent further staining and periodontal disease. If you notice a foul odor and/or Lio has difficulty chewing, then its best to have him examined by your vet. Also keep in mind that most cats by the age of 3 should have their teeth cleaned (Dental prophylaxis) at the vet to prevent periodontal disease and lead to excellent oral hygiene. It may be a resorptive lesion on the tooth. This is an indicator of dental disease. They can be painful, so a visit to your veterinarian would be recommended. This looks like quite a bit of tartar and calculus buildup. You will likely be more successful at preventing significant dental disease by having a professional dental cleaning done. Once all the calculus and tartar built up are removed it'll be easier to maintain a clean mouth.

I would definitely recommend leaving it alone because you could cause some pain and injury by wiggling on it. However I would consider having your vet take a look at it because safe extraction if the canine tooth may be recommended to avoid having a huge hole left behind for foodstuffs to then get clogged into. If your vet extracts the tooth instead of just letting it fall out, the vet can then close the hole with suture. This is the best approach when dealing with diseases canine teeth especially, because this is the only tooth that can leave a hole that directly communicates with the nasal passages (oronasal fistula), so we take extra precautions with this tooth in particular. It looks like Nero has a good bit of saliva-covered hair encircling the lower left canine tooth. If you're able to do so, try to slip the matted hair off of the tooth. If Nero is too wiggly, you may need to take him to his vet to help remove this hair clump. My concern is that the hair is holding the baby tooth in place, which could cause some issues if it's preventing the eruption of the permanent tooth under it. I hope that everything goes well!

Poor Buster! It looks like he may have periodontal disease or potentially an injury that has led to recession of his gums and allowed hair to accumulate in the pocket. I would guess those two middle teeth need to be extracted. I am a little concerned about the hair above his canine tooth as well - it looks like he might have a draining tract associated with that tooth. I would recommend having your vet examine Buster soon to see if a dental cleaning with tooth extraction is recommended. Fortunately dogs do not use these teeth much for chewing.
