Can my cat use a calming collar and diffuser at the same time?

The multi cat diffuser may give you slightly better results but they both will likely help. The diffusers are nice because it’s a constant infusion of the pheromone that occurs even when you are not home. Other things that can help Trixie to feel more calm are to provide climbing opportunities that satisfy her natural instincts. A tall cat tree or shelves mounted to the wall with a bed on top can help some cats feel more secure. Set aside 30 minutes a day for vigorous play as tiring her out may result in less anxiety. Royal Canin also makes a diet called Calm that affects the serotonin levels in the brain and some cats do very well on this diet. If she continues not to do well, medications may help. Calming pheromone collars (Adaptil is one example) can be quite beneficial for some dogs and may not cause any changes in behavior/anxiety/stress in other dogs. The hard part with these products is that their efficacy for your individual dog is only established through trial and error. They are certainly not harmful, provided that you follow all directions on the packaging. Plug in pheromone diffusers are also available if you feel more comfortable using these products rather than a collar and can have a similar effect.

I presume that you are talking about pheromone diffusers. The diffusers are completely different pheromones and will not interact with each other in any way. Pheromones are species specific, so they will not affect another species. The cat pheromone should help calm a cat and will not have any effect on a dog. The dog pheromone should help calm a dog, but will not have any effect on a cat. Yes, you can use both of these flea preventatives simultaneously. However, flea collars are notoriously ineffective, so I never recommend them under any circumstance. If Cali is currently having an issue with fleas, you can instead give her an oral Capstar ( http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=10902 ) to kill adult fleas within 30 minutes, and use the Advantage to prevent fleas for a full month. If Cali is not currently experiencing a flea infestation, Advantage alone should be sufficient. Good luck! :-)

The pet calming collar may be a good idea. I like the Sentry calming collar. I'd also get a Feliway diffuser. That releases calming pheromones when plugged in. Have them both seen by a vet for a wellness check.

I presume that you're talking about Sentry Calming Collar which is also a pheromone based product. I have not had clients use that because I have not seen any studies about it. Feliway has done a wonderful job of testing their products to make sure that they work, so I would recommend using Feliway since it is a proven product. Good luck! I haven't used Beaphar products before, but just looking at their ingredients, I would probably recommend using their treats for the actual drive because it has 3 different ingredients that may help with stress. If you think that needs to be combined with a longer lasting product, it looks like the collar has both Valerian and lavender, while the spot on only has Valerian. But if your cat is not used to wearing a collar, then she may not tolerate the collar well. I would contact the company to discuss the specifics of your move and ask them for a recommendation. As far as other products to consider to help stranger cats get along, I have a couple suggestions (although the Beaphar products may be very helpful). The goal is to decrease stress between the cats. One option for decreasing stress is to add a Feliway Diffuser ( https://www.feliway.com ) to your house. This is a calming pheromone that will work for a month. I have also had luck with Rescue Remedy ( http://www.bachflower.com/rescue-remedy-pet/ ) which can be added to the water.
