Cat breathing fast, hiding, lethargic after moving. Is it stress or vet?

It's difficult to tell without seeing Gustor, but I would be most suspicious of the new environment being the cause of this behavior. Cats are notorious for not adjusting well to new houses and will display varying signs of distress. If he is otherwise acting normal and eating and drinking OK, then I would not be too concerned. If he does seem to have other problems, then it's probably best to have a vet examine him and make sure there are no health problems. You may help calm him down with a cat pheromone diffuser like Feliway. These can be purchased at the pet store and placed in various rooms in the apartment. Abnormal breathing in a cat can occur from conditions such as pneumonia, heart failure, asthma, bronchitis, among other possibilities. If her pulse (not respiratory rate) really is 70 bpm as you pointed out that is very abnormal for a cat and at the same time even if it was her respiratory rate it would also be abnormal. For that reason, I highly recommend that you have Marciella evaluated by your local emergency clinic or your veterinarian if open as soon as possible for further assessment and treatment. Likely diagnostics include chest radiographs. Treatment would be dependent on findings. Good luck!

This is an emergency and you need to take your kitty to a veterinarian or PetER right away. Respiratory distress is very serious and your cat will need a thorough exam, possibly oxygen, and supportive care. He is purring because he is ill and is trying to appease everyone around him. The signs of illness are very unspecific so please take your cat to the ER now.

Without seeing Nancy in person, I can't say for certain what is wrong with her, but she could be nauseous, sick, or in pain causing her symptoms. Breathing in a different manner indicates illness as well as pain. I'd take her into a vet now to get checked out. Best of luck.
