My cat's bite wound is getting worse after vet treatment, why?

I would recommend for your kitty to see the veterinarian. Infections tend to heal significantly faster and with less complications with antibiotics. You also will need to make sure he does not lick at the wound as this will make it worse. Have him wear an Elizabethan collar at all times and keep him indoors until it is healed. I'm not quite sure how or why your vet would have needed to take a blood sample in a location where there was also a wound, but I wouldn't be sure that the wound is getting worse from being disrupted by a needle. Tiger should be examined by a vet. That wound on his leg looks pretty bad, and he probably needs good antibiotics and pain medications. If Tiger goes outdoors, he may be getting into fights with other cats. Cat bites are notoriously nasty and can transmit some bad bacteria that cause infection and abscesses. If these wounds are not from infected cat bites, then I would be concerned about an autoimmune disorder or a severe body-wide infection.
